Bio

John StocktonJohn has been building major web applications since the late 90s. He has used technologies such as ASP, ASP.NET, HTML, DHTML, AJAX, XML and many others. Clients have been in numerous industries including: government/politics; chemical, telecommunications, finance, healthcare and many others.

One thing that has always driven him is new technologies. Not just learning how cool they are but in actually finding real business cases for using them.

Currently, John is focused on Silverlight and is loving every minute of it. His position as a RIA Developer at Ascentium allows him to use this amazing techonology for large clients and push the envelope of what can be accomplished. This blog is a compilation of Johns work and thoughts about Silverlight and other RIA technologies and how they are changing the web.

Last fall John was a co-author on Silverlight 2 in Action from Manning Publishing which is widely regarded as one of the leading Silverlight 2 books.
